MANILA, Philippines – A 22-year-old female nursing student died after jumping off the 3rd floor of a shopping mall in Iloilo City Tuesday morning.
Police said the victim, identified as Vina Marie del Rosario, entered the mall alone at around 9 a.m. and immediately headed to the 3rd floor.
Mall employees attempted to stop the victim from jumping but failed.
Investigations showed that the victim, a graduating nursing student, had problems with her thesis.
The mall’s management will also undergo investigation by police to determine if there was a lapse on their part.
