PAL operations immobilized due to union strike

Philippines' oldest commercial airline, Philippine Airlines has cancelled all domestic and international flights on Tuesday until 6PM according to PAL spokesperson through a radio interview.

Why?
According to Cielo Villaluna, PAL spokesperson, they finally came to the decision to stop its operations for the meantime after its ground workers decided to walk out as part of its "work stoppage" union strike early Tuesday. Villaluna also warned employees of their actions that these are a violation of Republic Act 9497 for "obstructing airport operrations".

On the other hand, a representative of the employees union Gerry Rivera said that they represented a strike in order to continue their battle against the management.
