Ram's sister admits she wasn't abducted

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) - Contrary to her initial statements to the police, Ramona Bautista admitted on Friday that she was not abducted on the evening of her brother Ramgen Revilla's murder, but denied she had a hand in the crimes committed last week.

Ramona said she did not tell the truth when she told police that she was abducted by the killer on October 28, the night that her brother was shot and stabbed to death, and her girlfriend, Jannelle Manahan, was shot.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN's Gigi Grande on ANC's Dateline Philippines, Ramona confirmed that she was inside the house when an attacker entered their house in BF Homes in Parañaque City.

She said she had been talking to Ramgen about getting an iPhone video that they had wanted to share with another sibling in Baguio.

A lone attacker wearing a mask then entered Ramgen's room and shot Jannelle first, causing Ramgen to fight the attacker. After a scuffle, Ramgen then entered the room and locked the door.

Naipit pa nga yung kamay ng lalakai na nakamask," she said.

'Ramgen saved my life'

She said that after the attack, she tried to revive Ramgen to no avail. She also tried to help Jannelle, telling her to hang on because she might bleed to death.

She said she asked Jannelle for Ramgen's car keys so she could drive her to the nearest hospital but Jannelle was no longer talking.

Fearing for her life, she said she ran out of the house and called her pregnant sister. She then got on a car and tried to get as far as possible from their house.

Ashamed, not in state of mind

She said she was still in shock when she discovered that Ramgen was killed but Jannelle survived the incident. She said she later told police that she was abducted by Ramgen's killer but was abandoned near Starmall in Las Piñas because she was ashamed about leaving Jannelle and Ramgen.

Despite her retraction about the abduction, Ramona denied that she had a hand in the murder of Ramgen. Ramona, her brother, Ramon Joseph, and 5 others have been identified as suspects in the killing.

Alam niya rin po yan," she said.
