Weather Update: Only 4 areas under Storm Signal Number 1 as Ramon moves westward

As of 11am today, according to PAGASA, Tropical Depression"RAMON" has maintained its strength and slightly accelerated as it continues to move Northwestward.

Typhoon Ramon is about 195 km West Northwest of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro and has a maximum winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecasted to move Northwest at 15 kph.

Areas having public storm signal number 1 are:

  • Mindoro Provinces 
  • Lubang Island 
  • Northern Palawan 
  • Batangas
Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere now lowered. 

Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under Public Storm Warning Signal are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. 

Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 25 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. 

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today.
