Zurich/London - Nestle - The world's biggest food maker, namely coffee and chocolate bars, has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer on Wednesday.
The first ever female leader of the company is Chinese-Filipina executive from Walmart Stores Inc is no other than Wan Ling Martello.
Appointment Makes sense...
Martello, who grew up in the Philippines and a graduate from the University of the Philippines, has a vast experience in the retail industry. According to Kepler Capital Markets analyst Jon Cox, with Martello's appointment it will help boost Nestle.
Martello, 53, will replace James Singh, 65, on April 1 after retiring from his post and served the company in 35 years. This is also the first time that Nestle hired a CFO ooutside their roster of top management.
